Big news for Nerdfighters and John Green fans!

The cover for John Green’s new book The Fault in Our Stars has been revealed!  It’s designed by Rodrigo Corral.

TFiOS comes out January 10, 2012.  All preorders will be signed by John (and possibly Hank or the Yeti.)  I’ve already ordered my copy!  What about you?

In addition, the publishers were so impressed with the fan-made covers for TFiOS that they’re having a contest to select the next cover for An Abundance of Katherines.  Visit the publisher’s website to learn more and enter your design.  Also, because of the contest, the Tumblr for fan-made covers of TFiOS has been changed to John Green Book Covers.

Here’s the vlogbrothers video in which John talks about the cover desgin and the contest:

On a related note, if you’re a Nerdfighter and you’re not following the blog Eff Yeah Nerfighters! then you’re really missing out.  They post all kinds of Nerdfightastic stuff, including SparkLife’s Nerdfighter dictionary and news about the making of a full-length, fan-made movie of Looking for Alaska.  You can also follow the Tumblrs of John and Hank for more updates.

Getting back to the TFiOS cover, I think all those awesome fan-created covers made me expect something a bit more flashy.  But I do like that it’s clean and understated.  What do you think?  I can’t wait to see what people come up with for An Abundance of Katherines!
